Can you remeber where you were eight years ago?  I know this post doesn’t have much to do with drumming, but I feel that I have a responsebility as a writer and an American that I should at least take time to remember what happened on Septemper 11th 2001.

Our country was shocked as we witnessed the first attack on US soil since Pearl Harbor.  Whether you think it’s a conspiracy or not…. it’s my belief that it still happend… and being a conspiracy is still irrelivant to the fact that this day made such a profound impact on many Americans.

Most people can still remember where they were and what they were doing when they happend.  I still remember seeing Air Force One fly overhead in Sarasota, FL.  I remember the dead silence in all of the classrooms of my highschool.  I remember radio and television broadcasters being lost for words.  I remember the NYC Firefighters and Police Officers that gave their life to rescue others.

On this day I ask you to take a minute and reflect on this day… never forget what happened on 9/11/2001.  If you are gigging tonight dedicate at least one song to those that risked their lives for others and the victims of 9/11 – even if it’s a silent dedication… it would still mean a lot to me and many others.

About Me

I started playing percussion (mallets) when I was 8 years old. I then eventually moved into concert band in middle school where I taught myself to play drumset. After middle school I played in the highschool drumline and played in several bands.... I stopped playing drums for about 5 years until I was approached by a friend to start playing again for his band. I have been playing with Blaming Tim in Atlanta for about two years now.
